This site is a personal author website. I collect a small amount of data to run it, and I take that seriously. Here's exactly what I collect and why.
What I Collect
There are three ways this site collects data:
- Email newsletter: If you subscribe, I collect your email address. That's it. I use Mailchimp to manage the list and send emails.
- Contact form: If you send me a message, I collect your name, email address, and message. I use Formspree to process submissions.
- Site analytics: I use Google Analytics to understand how many people visit and which pages are popular. This data is anonymous and aggregated — I can't identify individual visitors.
How I Use It
- Newsletter: To send you book updates, cover reveals, free fiction, and the occasional announcement. I send 4-6 emails per year at most. I will never sell or share your email address.
- Contact form: To respond to your message. I do not add contact form submissions to any marketing list without your explicit permission.
- Analytics: To understand site traffic and improve the site. No personal data is involved.

Your Rights
- Unsubscribe: Every newsletter email includes an unsubscribe link. You can also use the contact form below to request removal.
- Data deletion: You can request deletion of any data I hold about you using the contact form below.
- Opt out of analytics: You can use a browser extension like Google Analytics Opt-out to prevent tracking.
Data Retention
- Newsletter: Your email is retained until you unsubscribe.
- Contact form: Formspree retains submissions for 30 days, then deletes them.
- Analytics: Google Analytics data is retained per Google's standard policy (26 months by default).
